Asia Art Archive’s Annual Fundraiser 2009 Exhibition will open on 30 November, from 18:00 – 20:00 at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, and will run until 4 December 2009. AAA will hold its annual fundraising dinner and auction on 5th. The dinner is sold out, however absentee bids can be taken until 10:00 on auction day.

Mike “mitu” Tupas, is a drummer, percussionist, craftsman, performer, cultural worker, educator and a visual artist. “Dahon” is the first solo exhibition of “mitu” in Hongkong, he tries to capture the essence of nature through the colors of the leaves in his own interpretation. the paintings are in acrylic on canvas. A new book group jointly organized by Jo Pearce and Culture Club has its first meeting at Culture Club. The group will continue to meet monthly to discuss cult and classic literature, starting with “Generation X” by Douglas Coupland. Part of the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts' 25th anniversary celebration. A collaboration with Austrian Consulate General Hong Kong. Besides biographical excerpts, the exhibition includes information on the places where Haydn lived and worked, as well as his compositional activity. Free admission, from 10:00 to 22:00. This event is part of the Academy's 25th anniversary celebration. Playing on the Academy's copy of Mozart's 1795 Viennese fortepiano, world renowned fortepianist Geoffrey Lancaster will perform nine of Haydn's great sonatas over two concerts. Free admission.
